Workshop gerecycled denim voor kids - SAT

Workshop gerecycled denim voor kids - SAT
For this project we are going to teach children, who normally do not have the opportunity to attend workshops, how to make a toiletry bag from discarded jeans. In this way we want to make them aware of sustainability. The made toiletry bags will be donated to a foundation, who can tell us why they think this is needed.
As a volunteer, you will help explain to the children how to make the toiletry bag. What will they learn about?

- Loosening the seams of the jeans
- Cutting patterns
- Inserting a zipper
- Sewing straight stitches
- Completing the bag
So, we are looking for volunteers who can teach any of the above parts to the children. Do you happen to have a sewing machine we can use? That would be especially nice. Furthermore, you will help make sure the whole workshop runs smoothly. We hand out food and drinks to the children and provide a friendly atmosphere.

We would like to meet prior to the Aruba Doet project so that we can explain exactly what we are going to do that day and so everyone knows what to expect.
